HYDERABAD, India: At a time when Bollywood stars are following in the footsteps of industry king Shah Rukh Khan by rooting their support for the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lollywood actors are making a beeline for the rival Indian Cricket League (ICL).

Just days after it was announced that Pakistan’s Muammar Rana will own a stake in ICL’s Lahore Badshahs team and endorse and promote the team across both India and Pakistan, film star Reema made an appearance at the match between Pakistan and World in the ICL 20s World Series here at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium on Thursday night.

Reema is here on an invitation from former Pakistan captain Moin Khan, currently working as coach of Lahore Badshahs and ICL Pakistan.

“It feels great to be here,” said the Lollywood star. “I believe cricket is a great way to bring people closer and these matches are bringing the nations of Pakistan and India close to each other,” she added.

Reema’s brief cameo sparked speculations that she might also be buying a stake in an ICL team but there was no official confirmation.
